At the BlizzCon 2026 opening ceremony, Blizzard announced that Xal'atath will join Heroes of the Storm as its newest Hero. Blizzard gave September 28 as the arrival date and September 14 as the date for Public Test Realm availability. Those are Blizzard's announced dates, not a MercStats.com release guarantee.
This would be the first new Heroes of the Storm Hero in nearly six years. Blizzard's December 1, 2020 live patch notes introduced Hogger. The interval from that release to the planned September 28, 2026 arrival is about five years and ten months.
Blizzard thanked the players who have continued to support Heroes of the Storm and suggested that there may be more to come for the game. It did not announce another Hero, a content roadmap, Xal'atath's role, or her abilities in the opening-ceremony recap, so we are leaving those details open until Blizzard publishes them.
MercStats.com will treat her live release as a new patch-data milestone. Replay-derived statistics should only appear for the exact live build after enough valid live-client replays are uploaded; PTR matches and older-build replays should not be mixed into those numbers.
