HotS help guide
Why is my HotS player profile missing on MercStats?
Last updated 29 October 2026
Your profile starts with a replay
MercStats builds player profiles from processed Heroes of the Storm replays. If we have not imported a replay from a match you played in, there is no match data to build your profile from yet. Uploading a recent replay is the first step.
A replay contains the other players too. You may already have a profile because a teammate or opponent uploaded a match, even if you have never used MercStats before.
Find your profile step by step
Start with a completed game you know you played in.
- Find its .StormReplay file on the computer where you played. HotS creates this file automatically when you finish a game.
- Upload the file on the Replays page, or use Companion with replay uploading enabled.
- Wait for processing to finish. An accepted upload is still queued; a failed replay has not supplied the match data needed for your profile.
- Search for the BattleTag from that replay in the correct region. Accounts in different regions have separate match histories.
- If the profile appears but the match does not, check the selected season, heroes, and game modes.
Creating an account does not import your games
Your MercStats website account and your replay-backed player profile serve different purposes. Signing up or connecting Blizzard does not download your Heroes of the Storm match history. The matches still need to reach us as replays.
Once your profile exists, you can claim it by signing in with a verified email, connecting the matching Blizzard account, and using the profile's claim option. Claiming establishes ownership; replay uploads supply the games.
If your profile is still missing
Check the upload result first. A duplicate means the match may already be present, while a failure needs attention before it can contribute data. If a replay imported successfully and you still cannot find yourself, contact us on Discord with your BattleTag, region, relevant page or replay ID, and the upload result. Keep private account details out of public channels.
